Period 1 covers the time period c. 1450 to c. 1648 and will last approximately seven weeks. Please refer to the course calendar for specific due dates for this period. In this period we will cover topics such as the Renaissance, Reformation, Exploration, the Ottoman Empire, and the Mughal Empire. These topics correlate to SOLs 2-5 and will be explored through each of the historical thinking skills.
